Merry Christmas (belated) (and somewhat hawaiian)

You can tell they all truly enjoy singing, and he knows it. Every one of them bring it, which infects the others.

I've been playing a lot of pogo lately. It's a pretty fun site for games with a fee of about $40.00 per year. I don't pay for extra gems or tokens. I have my mini, and a little over 2,000,000 tokens, and 370 gems.

Smeezy compared to others on pogo.

Yikes. <<<<I wanted to say 'Fu-u-u-u-c-k' there, but held back.

Ava and Stark burp out loud like pirates. Never had a dog do that before in my whole life. Was hilarious the first couple years. Now the fartin' has overtaken. I get woke up in the middle of the night when one of them farts. It's wakes me up! First I dream of my nostrils starting on fire.....than I wake up and realize it's a dawg fart! I'm being gassed out! The dreams associated with these farts are really nightmares! It's never good! I'm serious. I dream of noxious gases, then I wake up and one of them is laying right next to the couch and they've farted and the smell is atrocious! OMG! I need a bambulance! SOMEONE CALL 911!

The funny thing is, is that when it wakes me up, they know they did it and proceed to look somewhat contrite.

Picture this.

You're sleeping. Pretty good too, mind you.

A dream starts. Fire. Burning buildings. Stuck in a Funhouse with poop smell enveloping you. Stranded amidst a field of burning tires. Your eyes water. Your nose falls off. Your eyes water more. You get the idea.

You wake up.

Dog.

Is under you. On the floor. Sleeping soundly.

Dog hears you wake up.

You look at dog like, "Jesus fucking Christ!!!!?"

Dog's head lifts. Eyes lock. Dog gives that "look at me, I'm adorable, and I'd never do this to 'hurt you' look",

 "plus..... you gave me beans."

I did not! I gave you ham! That's it! Daddy gave you chicken strips and Beer Nuts. Don't even go there.

Dogs! Can live with them and can't live without them.

The other night I was watching a Seinfeld episode where George gets grapefruit juice in his eye and then his eye wouldn't stop winking. I decided a grapefruit sounded good so I get one from the fridge.
I was peeling it and it squirted right in my eye. Ironic. I even wear glasses.
Did you know that Jason Alexander didn't wear glasses but when he tried out for the part of George he brought a pair, and it worked!

For Christmas dinner I cooked a bone in ham. They are sooo much better than spiral, more moist. It's the bone, The bone! I tell ya!! Red beans and rice (NO! I didn't give any to the dogs!), small round white potatoes with garlic and parsley, green bean casserole with mushrooms and Hawaiian rolls.

I know (updated 12-25-14)

I suck. Jeff says, "I wish."

uh huh.

Been a while since I've been here.

Again, not in the mood to write.

Is that okay?

Gonna have to be, aint it?

Let's see....what's happened?

Sisi's been spayed and declawed on all 4 feet.

Secret Santa is over at work.

I turned 52 yesterday.

We had Xmas for Jeff's family. We came home with a cool handmade wooden end table for the basement. His step sister's son made it. I think I am going to stain it, or paint it, but it is pretty cool unfinished.

I'm going to be taking care of two big guinea pigs and two dwarf hamsters....CAN"T WAIT!
Me loves me some rodents!!
Our niece will be out of town and I get to take care of their GPs and hamsters. We went over there the other day and she put the hamsters in those balls so they can run around the house. OMG! They FLEW all over the house! So CUTE! Okay they didn't FLY....but I'll be damned if they didn't roll all over super fast! It was a hoot! I so love animals. Any kind. Did I post that we have our pond fish in the basement in a garbage can? I don't remember if I posted that or not. I tap on their can twice a day and they know they are going to be fed. They know! They all float to the top, waiting for the flake food to be dropped. Isn't animal life wonderful? I truly believe that.
Should I tell you about my secret santa?

Okay.

The first day I got some Jalapeno Combos (new addiction that I do not need considering I will be going to the doctor in a month-bah!) and a Splat. A Splat is a plastic ball/animal/shape that kids slam onto the floor or a table and it spreads out real fast when it hits then springs back into shape. My Splat is a mouse.

Here's what I mean:

The second day I got two new year's eve blow horns. And silly string. I LOVE silly string. And one gift card.

The third day I got a plastic animal print bracelet (too small)  and a pair of spider earrings and 4 gift cards.
The fourth day IU got a pretty peacock feather and a Pier 1 gift card.

The last day I got a beautiful peacock candle and a teal tea light lantern. I collect those. yeah!

All gift cards were blank. I mean no money on them. It seems like they (my secret santa) stole all the cards. oKay I guess it's not stealing when you go in and take a gift card off the shelf. I'm going to have to beat him within an inch of his life. He won't know how to react. LOL!

Yeah, the SS was one of my attorney bosses.

Fucker. LOL!!
Give me gift cards that have no balance. You suck. Hahahahaha! Super great gag gift. I'm going to have to try it. Ha!

I have plans.

That's all I'm sayin....

I'm thinking so much that my leg is going to sleep. I feel ants in it. I'm dying, aint I?

dDDddying......

OKay

I have to write that our dawgs are the brightest things in our lives. They're funny, dorky, smart and protective.

I just opened up a package of beef jerky and they know the sound of the plastic. I can never eat beef jerky without having to share. They love it. So here I am, perusing ebay and decided to eat some of the sweet and hot jerky from the package sitting on the comp desk. I thought I was being sneaky. I opened it silently............ slowly............ and stealthed. I ate a piece then looked behind me and see two faces with really big ears and noses looking my way.

Busted!

LOL!

It's not that I don't want to share, I always do, even if they hadn't caught on I would have tossed them both several pieces. I just wanted to see if I could get away with it. Obviously not. LOL

Today I watched the movie The Christmas Shepherd. I cried almost all the way through it. It's about a male German Shepherd that gets scared by a thunderstorm and escapes from the yard and gets lost. He finally gets rescued by a father and daughter that lost their wife/mom a couple years ago. The woman owner finally tracks down her shepherd and it ends with her and the man together. So corny, but such a nice story how this shepherd brought them together intentionally and unintentionally in various ways.

One of the issues in the movie was that the new owners-the man and daughter- had legal ownership of the dog, even though it lived the first 5 years of it's life with the woman, and they only had the dog two weeks.  Really? Just because her dog got lost, they owned it when it was found? I just don't get that. No one would keep me from taking my dawg back. I have them chipped and there's lots and lots of pictures. Plus once they encountered this menopausal woman they'd be begging me to take my dawg back. Uh huh. Don't test me.

Getting Sisi spayed and declawed on Thursday. She's in heat. Bah! Driving us nuts too. I was hoping she was spayed and had felt her belly for scar tissue and didn't find any so I assumed she wasn't. I was right. She is sharpening her claws on everything! The leather couch and leather computer chair! OMG! Bipping her lightly doesn't seem to deter her either. So out they come. I am staying home with her on Friday so I can watch her. Poor babycake.

She's so sweet. I'm really starting to like her a lot. She likes being held and comes up and lays on us all the time. Then she touches her mouth to our lips like in a kiss. Sooooo sweet!! She also likes sleeping on Jeff's head. LOL!
She didn't know how to play when we first brought her in. So sad! Probably being outdoors she never learned how to play.  We have three cats toys that are sticks with a string and a toy on the end. She wouldn't even chase the feather toy. Finally now she knows how to chase and tackle the toys.

OMG I bought pickled herring today! Yum yum yum!

We had Christmas today with Jeff's family. We play the stealing game where we all get a number, choose and open a gift or steal one from someone else.  It's a lot of fun. Jeff stole a wooden end table made by his step nephew. Ironically since we bought the surround system and TV for the basement we've been needing a small table. It's perfect. I got something for my secret santa person at work. Woop! Regift!! LOL We also won $13.00 off of scratch lottery tickets, and a box full of bubbles. Makes ya wonder, doesn't it?

Here's a Christmas wreath I made for my MIL.

Turned out smashing!!

Drunken Noodles and another Brad

OKay, I made the drunken Italian noodles and I thought there were too many peppers but Jeff thought it was perfect. Figures. When I think a dish bites, he thinks it's great. pffft!! (remember ....my saying pfffft is another way that I say FUCK!  lol)

I've found a new addiction.

SHARK TANK

OMG I love watching the people pitch their product and the sharks either dog them or bid against each other. There's nothing about this show that I don't like!! I disliked Mark the Shark at first but now I think he's hot. Hahahahaha!!  I'm serious, I do! LOL

Winter here has hit hard and fast. I haven't gotten out the 'big' coat though.

I found a new product. Aquage uplifting foam.
Mama Mia!

I'm going to go down and listen to music.

Prime Rib Roast

I just popped a prime rib roast into a 450 degree oven. First I added a generous amount of Lawry's seasoned salt all over the outside (except the ends). After 20 minutes I will reduce the heat to 200 degrees and cook it about 3-4 hours. It's 3 1/2 lbs.

No special occasion, Jeff just saw it at Sam's and decided to buy it. The price wasn't too bad, $9.99 lb.

A chef at Greenbriar restaurant told Jeff how to cook them like this. Jeff used to service their dishwasher. Greenbriar has one of the best prime rib in the Des Moines area. It's a 5 star $$$-$$$$ quality restaurant. Their salads are $10-$13 if that tells you anything. ;)  I've made it this way about 5 times now and it's always been just fantastically good. The amount of seasoning salt is to salt it enough to get a thin layer. Once I over salted and it was too salty. So there's a fine line between salty enough and too salty.

Well, I did what I said I wouldn't do. I brought Sisi in. Yesterday afternoon she was on the front stoop screaming in the snow so I opened the door. Usually she's just been in the driveway when we get home from work, or when we open the back door. So I pulled her in and fed her not one, but TWO cans of catfood! She's a pig! Then when I opened the door to let her back out, she didn't want to go. I tried 4 different times to see if she'd go back out and nope. Jeff said, "She isn't stupid." LOL So she spent the night. No fights yet with the dogs or Mojo, but I'm sure they're coming. She stayed in the living room the first 8 hours. I showed her the litter boxes in the basement and so far she's used them twice. I've named her Gypsy-which works well with Sisi for short. She's already made herself at home. She slept on me most of the night then moved to the top of the couch. Here's a pic  I just took.

She has beautiful gold eyes. I think she was an owl in another life.

She's done some hissing at both dawgs and Moj. She's even smacked both dawgs in the face but they took it in stride. If that doesn't say a lot about my dogs, nothing does. They could kill her in one bite. She seems to know that and so do they. Mojo doesn't like her and she growls at him, but she seems to be taking them all in stride, like they are her. She's a bitch. Girl cats are bitches. But she's soft and gentle too and definitely doesn't need to be an outside cat.  So I think she's ours now. We'll see.
She tiny too. I know she's full grown because she reacts to catnip. Not sure if she's spayed yet though. Guess we'll see on that too.....

Never thought she'd live this long being outside. Most cats get ran over, so she must have learned to avoid cars. I've seen her across the street many times.

She's very loving and just plops down to sleep anywhere, even in the middle of the living room. She loves being loved on and scratched too. She slept on the bed today while Jeff watched TV in the bedroom. I don't love her yet, but I like her a lot. Will see if she stays with us.

Sno Ho strikes again

Ava begged to go out to potty about 3 am this morning. It snowed lightly all day yesterday and we got about 3 inches of soft fluffy snow. It was still snowing at 3 am when she wanted out. So I let her and Starky out and they both peed, then of course Stark wants in. Ava was meandering far back in the back yard but I could still see her. I figured she needed to poop. That's usually the case when she begs to go out in the night, otherwise she can hold her potty for over 12 hours.

So she plops down on the ground and I thought she was just going to lay there so I was about ready just to go back to bed. (She could stay out there for hours before barking to come in) As I am ready to turn away I see her flip onto her back and start rolling in the snow. Rolling and playing and snorting for a good 5 minutes. LOL Crazy dawg. I almost got the camera but I knew it would be too dark to see anything anyway. It was so cute and funny. After she was done I did call her in and her she lumbers in all covered in snow.

I'm so glad I'm not an anal neat freak. I could never have these animals if I was. Life just wouldn't be as good, would it?

Snow and my Sno Ho Dawg.

I LOVE snow!!!!

I let the dawgs out about 2 hours ago with some marrow bones. Stark wanted back in when it started to snow. So I left Ava out there because she just looked at me like: I don't want to come in. So I just now went and checked on her and she is still laying there, enjoying her day. She loves the snow too.

I really didn't think she'd come in, but she did. Now they will both sleep for the next three hours until Daddy comes home.
